Watch RISK & DEFER Reinterpret Estevan Oriol's Iconic 'L.A. Fingers' Photo
As part of a limited release of six original artworks.
Legendary graffiti artists RISK and DEFER have teamed on a collaborative series of artworks that centers upon Estevan Oriol’s most-iconic L.A. Fingers photograph. For the partnership, the LA-born cohorts purvey a total of six original works comprised of 37” x 49” silkscreens on woven paper with deckled edges. RISK and DEFER add their own spray-painted signature motifs on the ubiquitous visual that will soon be released exclusively through ArtLife Gallery’s website.
“Beyond the love and admiration I have for Estevan’s photography, he’s been like a brother to me for over 30 years and counting,” said Kelly “RISK” Graval. “Estevan’s photography captures the essence of LA’s diversity – from those in the limelight and those on the fringes and everything in between,” added DEFER.
