Tendering District Council has decided to remove a recently unveiled Banksy mural following a complaint that the work was ”racist.” The mural located in Clacton-on-Sea depicted four grey pigeons holding anti-immigration banners including “Go Back To Africa,” “Migrants Not Welcome” and “Keep Off Our Worms.” The local council were said to have no idea that the mural was by Bansky. However Nigel Brown, communications manager for the council has said, ”We would obviously welcome an appropriate Banksy original on any of our seafronts and would be delighted if he returned in the future.” A spokeswoman for Bansky has already said that he would not be commenting further on the Clacton piece.
