Prior to the spotlight being turned onto the Olympics, it was focused squarely on The Avengers — the blockbuster comic hero film from the Marvel Comics universe. Ukrainian illustrator “scargeear” has offered up his own unique mash-up of the two, imagining the heroes of The Avengers participating in the games in London. Here, we see Captain America as a discus champion, Thor dominating at the hammer throw (what else?), and Hawkeye naturally raking in the medals in archery. And what about Iron Man? Well scargeear has Tony Stark as the games’ facilitating sponsor rather than a participant — one of the billionaire/playboy/philanthropist variety of course.
