  • Artist Taras Yoom collaborates with Aureta to create the limited-edition Another Kingdom: Game of Light backgammon clutch
  • The wearable art piece, featuring gold leaf and lab-grown rubies, is priced at $20,000 USD
  • The collaboration premieres at Art Miami 2025

Taras Yoom has teamed with Albanian‑American entrepreneur and art patron Aureta Thomollari for a unique collectible: the Another Kingdom: Game of Light limited‑edition 2‑in‑1 backgammon clutch. This collaboration transforms the beloved board game into an accessory, with the design integrating Aureta’s signature maximalist aesthetic and mastery of color with Yoom’s renowned Another Kingdom gaming line.

The clutch houses a fully functional backgammon set made from a layered mix of silver, brass, wood, steel, glass and acrylic, with checkers set using lab‑grown rubies placed beneath glass lenses to refract light and produce shifting visual effects. Surface details include crystal embellishment and accents in silver, brass and glass; construction blends jewelry‑grade techniques and experimental processes such as finely detailed 3D printing in photopolymer, casting, manual finishing, inlay work, leather and fabric wrapping, paracord weaving and acrylic paint detailing. Each piece also contains an embedded NFC chip that serves as a digital certificate to validate, authenticate and record provenance and ownership.

The design is imbued with the philosophy and symbolism of the game, which is built on speed— the race to clear one’s checkers. By capturing light, the exclusive set metaphorically imparts “impossible velocity and force to its owner”. Taras Yoom notes that the set reflects the shared visual language of devotion to bold tones and unexpected harmonies. Meanwhile, Aureta summarizes the project as merging “play, light and craftsmanship” into something that feels both meaningful and like “reclaiming a piece of memory.”

Limited to 21 handcrafted sets, each piece is presented as a leather‑and‑alcantara clutch with a paracord shoulder strap, priced at $20,000 USD and available to order online. The wearable art piece will be unveiled at Art Miami 2025 at the Yoomoota Booth AM209, running from December 2 to 7.
