Summary

  • The Gorillaz immersive exhibition, House of Kong, will open in Downtown LA from February 26 to March 19, 2026
  • Tickets grant presale access to two special LA shows where they will perform their new album, The Mountain, in full
  • Developed with Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, the show explores the band’s misadventures and creative journey

The iconic gates of Kong, the legendary dwelling of the Grammy-winning British band Gorillaz, are set to open in Downtown Los Angeles. Following its highly successful London run last year, the celebrated new immersive exhibition, House of Kong, will hold a limited four-week engagement at Rolling Greens DTLA. This unique experience will run from February 26, 2026 to March 19, 2026 , inviting visitors to journey behind the curtain of the band’s extraordinary world.

The exhibition offers a look through the misadventures, musical innovations, and groundbreaking virtual ways of the four outsiders: bassist Murdoc Niccals, singer 2D, drummer Russel Hobbs, and guitarist Noodle. The concept was developed in collaboration with Jamie Hewlett and Damon Albarn by artist and creative director Stephen Gallagher and his studio, SWEAR.

House of Kong is not a retrospective, it’s an audio-visual artwork; an installation that takes a glance backwards in order to identify the path ahead,” Gallagher shared in a statement. He added, “It’s an honour to have been part of the Gorillaz family over the last 8 years. The outpouring of music and art that I have found myself immersed in, has changed my life. I hope that some of that comes across in this show. This is no ordinary exhibition because in the world of Gorillaz, nothing is ever quite as it seems…”

Adding to the excitement, tickets for the House of Kong exhibition, which start at $39.50 USD and are on sale now, grant US fans exclusive presale access to two special one-off Gorillaz shows. These performances, taking place on February 22 and 23 at the Hollywood Palladium, will feature Damon Albarn and the live band, joined by special guests, performing their upcoming new album, The Mountain, in full.
