Frieze Los Angeles Will Head to the Santa Monica Airport in 2023

The move will offer more room and added flexibility for the fair’s ambitious plans.

After a successful return to West Hollywood in February, Frieze Los Angeles will be getting a new home next year at the Santa Monica Airport.

The change in location was made to offer additional space and flexibility for the fair’s growing presence. Housed at the southeast portion of the airfield, visitors can expect Frieze’s emblematic tented galleries, along with a host of curated partnerships throughout the grounds, including Frieze Projects.

Christine Messineo, Director of Americas for Frieze, stated that the “new home offers us so much – the scale of the site allows for ambitious activations and collaborations with artists, galleries and non-profits. As a major destination the fair will extend its reach across the city and celebrate the creative communities of Los Angeles.”

Frieze Los Angeles 2023 will host over 100 of the world’s prominent and emerging galleries, along with its dedicated Focus LA section and Frieze Viewing Room. Gallery applications for Frieze Los Angeles 2023 are now open and close on June 20, 2022.

In related news, Hauser & Wirth will open a new location in Paris.
