Amir H. Fallah Collaborates With Avant Arte on ‘Eternal Reflection'

Four sculptural mirrors that allude to the theme of migration.

Back in August, Amir H. Fallah was commissioned by The Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health to create a series of portal installations along the institution’s new headquarters in Koreatown. In a statement on the project, the Iranian-American artist told HYPEBEAST that the work is a metaphor “of how one can see past challenges and move forward towards positive change.”

Made in a similar light, Fallah will release four limited-edition mirrors titled Eternal Reflection. Made in conjunction with Avant Arte, each sculpture references an array of influences — from fauna and Persian miniatures to children’s book illustrations. The artist juxtaposes familiar tropes in Western art with those deemed in a statement as ‘other’ as a way to allude to migration, and the ability of diasporic populations to thrive in new contexts.

Eternal Reflection will be available to purchase in pink, purple, teal and yellow. Each sculptural mirror is an edition 20 and will release to the public on June 13 at 9am ET for $3,277 USD. Please visit Avant Arte to register your interest.
