Futura Creates Custom-Tagged Limited Edition Motorola Phones

Only 30 cellphones have been tagged with Futura’s graffiti art.

The Motorola team linked up with forward-thinking creative Futura who painted across their newest Moto X Pure Edition cellphones. Lining up a batch of 30 back cases along the floor, the legendary graffiti artist born Leonard McGurr sprays bold lines and paint splatter across his familiar tags.

Reminiscing on the company’s cross-generational influences, Futura claims that today “it’s getting harder and harder to maintain your individualism. Original painted phones, if you will, rather than some kind of manufacturing, I think is really interesting. I haven’t done anything like this in the past.”

Watch the whole artistic process go down in an empty warehouse in the video above, and grab yourself one of these 30 limited edition phones for $350 USD from e-commerce business Stefan’s Head by texting 646-759-0904.
