Accent is a biannual magazine sharing stories from around the world, showcasing radical people and their stories. The idea behind Accent is to celebrate inspirational stories that are often overlooked by mainstream media. Issue One features the street kids in Almedia Park in Mexico City, the famous faces of 80s punk London, life in a traveling circus, and our cover star Kia Labeija, a young vogue ballroom dancer from Brooklyn who is using the scene to raise awareness about HIV.
