Famed street artist Shepard Fairey is set to paint his largest mural to date in Detroit, the location of which is still unknown. Fairey will be in Detroit at the end of May to exhibit his work at the Library Street Collective in a show titled “Printed Matters.” It focuses on materials like editions on wood, editions on metal, fine art collages, among others. As well as this, he is also set to exhibit a separate show in the alley behind the Library Street Collective called the Belt. The outdoor exhibit will feature a permanent mural and will be on display from May 22 to August 15. As for his largest mural, there are murmurs that it will be painted on a Dan Gilbert-owned building, however stay tuned for more information as it’s confirmed.
