In a new installment from director of photography Patrick Lawler, we are treated to a beautiful aerial compilation of clips gazetting the sun rise and fall over Los Angeles. A step away from the usually heavily environmental content of his older pieces, Patrick has emphasized the sheer expanse of Los Angeles itself and has conveyed its image from the perspective of the vast urban metropolis it is today. The three-minute video highlights the evolution of which the city has experienced during its time, with skyscrapers and seemingly overpowering structures obtrusively clustering together amongst a variety of smaller complexes — each building and space representative of a different era and its respective requirements. As the sun rises and falls over the city, an almost ethereal haze of pinks and purples settles in from the surrounding mountains, with the mornings seeming brighter and pink and the evenings bearing somewhat of a warmer yellow hue.
