Fresh off their first European solo exhibition at RexRomae in London, Brazilian duo Bicicleta Sem Freio are having their first US show at Fifty24 Gallery in San Francisco, presented by Justkids and Upperplayground. The theme of the show is a nod to Bicicleta Sem Freio’s history of designing gig posters for some of the best musical talents in the industry, including Vampire Weekend, Jurassic 5, Kings of Leon and Beck. Here, the artists pay visual homage to the art of music posters by presenting a body of work for fictitious bands. In conjunction to the show, Bicicleta Sem Freio also plan to paint a large scale mural somewhere in San Francisco, with more information to be announced soon via Upper Playground. The opening of the exhibition is May 1 at 7pm, with the artists in attendance, and the exhibition will run until June 15.
