In 2010, Hong Kong’s Harbour City presented KAWS‘ first exhibition in the city titled “Passing Through.” On September 18, the New York artist will unveil a follow-up exhibition titled “CLEAN SLATE” — a new monumental sculpture measuring out to seven meters tall. Joining other companion characters seen in past exhibitions across the world – such as recent showings at “Final Days” at CAC Malaga and “Along The Way” at Mary Boone Gallery — “CLEAN SLATE” is one the largest sculpture KAWS has ever made and shows the companion figure on both feet holding a smaller rendering in his arms – signifying a new chapter in the companion series. “CLEAN STATE” will be on view from September 18 to 19 at Ocean Terminal Forecourt of Harbour City.
