Rostarr Intersection Mural @ B+B Newsroom
Brooklyn-based artist Romon Kimin Yang, better known as Rostarr, blends his skill in calligraphy
Brooklyn-based artist Romon Kimin Yang, better known as Rostarr, blends his skill in calligraphy and graphic design to create bold pieces. Having exhibited alongside Basquiat, Haring, Schart and Pollock in “Calligrafitti: 1984-2001,” Rostarr’s unique style has caught the attention of various platforms. His last installation saw him 20 feet off the ground painting Williamsburgh Music Hall in his trademark “Graphysics” style for Absolute’s Open Canvas Institute. Now he presents another compelling mural at the Bedford and Bowery Ballroom’s newsroom. In this clip, Rostarr shares his influences, in addition to explaining the concept of intersection – an aesthetic correlating both Rostarr and Bedford and Bowery Ballroom’s underlying motifs.
