BitTorrent recently took its defense of internet freedom and fight against internet regulation offline and into the real world with a billboard campaign that dotted locations in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. The plain white billboards with black text each carried simple yet poignant messages on how the Internet should be controlled, namely by us. Though it remains to be seen what kind of response the campaign has generated in traditional media outlets and the government, BitTorrent’s blog post has generated discussion from users as well as responses from Matt Mason, BitTorrent’s vice president of marketing.
