A place which often sees an overhaul of artistic endeavors, Hong Kong’s Times Square again calls upon another influential contemporary to don its marble floors. Here, LA-based artist Yoskay Yamamoto extends his larger-than-life sculptures in Hong Kong’s bustling Causeway Bay district. Titled “Submerged,” the exhibition is inspired by iconic characters from Yamamoto’s Western upbringing alongside other mystical Japanese elements. Crafted via a blend of solid textures and materials, the project features two large pumpkin heads spanning six meters tall, alongside other smaller models as part of the “Submerged” theme. “Submerged” will run from now till October 31, be sure to check it out if you’re in town.
