Following an initial preview several weeks ago, Arrested Motion visits legendary artist Futura as he prepares his latest works “Future-Shock” at Valmorbiba in New York City. Presented in the same pop-up location in the Meatpacking District where another notable artist, Retna, recently cultivated works, the setting serves as a homecoming of sorts for Futura. Curated by Nemo Librizzi, the exhibition promises a number of unseen works from an artist who earned his stripes on the streets. “Future-Shock” opens on September 6 and runs through October 5.
