Lucas Price T.E.A.M Atlas Exhibition @ Rove Gallery

A solo exhibition by London-based artist Lucas Price, T.E.A.M Atlas will run at the Rove Gallery

A solo exhibition by London-based artist Lucas Price, T.E.A.M Atlas will run at the Rove Gallery from December 7-21. Expanding the acronym, the show is dubbed “The Earth As My Atlas” in reference to the idea of mapping and cataloging with images and text. Featuring a series of new works comprising oil paintings and carbon and graphite drawings, the show throws together some images of plants, statues of Jesus, basketballs, text taken from Ghostface Killah lyrics, and personal writings to invent new narratives and relationships. One of very few artists to have gained acceptance to the Royal College of Art’s MFA painting course without any prior training or qualification, Price’s work bridges the gap between fine and street art by exemplifying his early graffiti roots and eventual scholastic artistry.
