KC Ortiz is a standout photojournalist who has earned his stripes traveling to places and telling the stories of people who have long since been forgotten. It’s only fitting that his contribution to “White Wash,” his co-gallery show with fellow Chicago native, POSE, features 12 new works from the Burmese and West Papuan struggles. Check out the preview of the show above, with footage from Ortiz’s travels, where bullets and the threat of death are an everyday worry. For those of you in Southern California, “White Wash” opens on November 18 at Known Gallery and is not to be missed.
