OSGEMEOS are 'Cultivating Dreams' in Lehmann Maupin Exhibition

Featuring 13 new paintings in their signature figurative style.

Exhibitions

Lehmann Maupin presents Cultivating Dreams, the sixth solo exhibition by renowned Brazilian twins OSGEMEOS, featuring 13 new paintings and an immersive installation. The exhibition explores Tritrez, a dreamworld the artists have developed over three decades, filled with intricate patterns and vibrant colors. This exhibit precedes their first US museum survey, OSGEMEOS: Endless Story, at the Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum from September 29, 2024, to August 3, 2025, with an upcoming illustrated catalogue by Rizzoli.

OSGEMEOS are known for their signature figurative style, featuring yellow characters with simplified features, inspired by their dreams and the mystical quality of sunlight in their childhood studio. Their work often includes sequins, sculptural frames, and LED lights, creating surreal scenes that blur the lines between various elements, enhancing the visual and emotional experience.
