A Look Inside Hypeart's Booth at SCOPE Art Show in Miami

Exploring the evolution of spray paint as a medium for creative expression.

Exhibitions

Hypeart’s showcase at SCOPE Art Show in Miami delves into the transformative possibilities of spray paint in contemporary art. The exhibition features artists who transcend the traditional boundaries of street art and graffiti, reimagining the medium with experimental approaches to texture, layering, and mixed media. Their works challenge conventional ideas of space, movement, and form.

Key highlights include KATSU’s “Untitled (Drone Smile)” series, created with autonomous drones, presented against a 12-foot vinyl wall adorned with his AI Criminal portraits—AI-generated faces of infamous figures. This installation examines the evolving interplay between humans and machines, blurring the lines between human craft and robotic precision. Another standout is Stickymonger’s six-foot-tall shaped canvas, “Shall We Dance,” depicting her signature ethereal female figure embracing a spaghetti-like monster. Crafted with water-based spray paint, the work exudes a soft, pastel-like quality. Also featured are five pieces by Brooklyn-based UFO907, known for his quirky, hand-painted characters influenced by comics like Kilroy and street culture.

Aligning with SCOPE’s theme of Interdependence, Hypeart’s booth explores the evolution of spray paint as a medium for creative expression. It captures the tension between control and chaos, reflecting the unpredictability of the human experience. Spray paint becomes a symbol of artistic freedom, embodying the balance between intention and spontaneity in the act of creation.

SCOPE runs from December 3–8 in South Beach, Miami. Purchase tickets and then visit Hypeart at booth E12 near the central lounge!
