Heaven by Marc Jacobs Unveils 'Just Like Heaven' Group Show in Los Angeles

Featuring work by Bladee, Petra Collins, FUTURA2000 and more.

Exhibitions

Heaven by Marc Jacobs has lifted the veil on a new group exhibition entitled Just Like Heaven, now on view at CONTROL Gallery in Los Angeles through January 18, 2025. Coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the Marc Jacobs brand, the exhibition takes a look back on some of the landmark collaborations that shaped the subversive sub-label to what it is today

Curated by CONTROL and ICNCLST co-founder Sky Gellatly alongside the Heaven by Marc Jacobs team, the exhibition presents work from across several decades, pairing the brand’s nostalgic signature with a keen eye for up-and-coming talent. From Bladee’s electric candy wrapper collage to Alake Shilling’s heart stealing bear sculpture, each piece reinterprets and revels in the aesthetic ethos of the new creative generation – ethereal and acidic in every bite.

Just Like Heaven features the work of 18 established and emerging artists, many of which serve as the originals behind the brand’s most beloved projects. Featured artists include Sofia Coppola, Petra Collins, FUTURA2000, Damien Hirst, Richard Kern and Marilyn Minter, alongside newcomers such as Chris Cadaver, Cactus Plant Flea Market, Eri Wakiyama, Stray Rats’ Julian Consuegra, Keegan Dakkar, Manon Macasaet, Sara Rabin, Sara Yukiko and Sean Kennedy.
