Yayoi Kusama to Return to David Zwirner Gallery New York This Year

Expect another bold & immersive experience.

Legendary Japanese contemporary artist Yayoi Kusama will be holding another exhibition at the David Zwirner gallery in New York later this year.

The critically-acclaimed artist is renowned for her installations and sculptures which interpret her rural Japanese upbringing. Kusama is arguably most known for her series of Accumulations, delivering works such as her Pumpkin sculptures and renowned Infinity Mirrored Rooms

Kusama has voluntarily lived in a psychiatric institution since 1977 and her works often explore her desire to escape from psychological trauma. Her immersive exhibitions depict the artist’s obsessive vision, seen in her famous dot works, and we can expect another large-scale body of captivating work returning to the David Zwirner gallery in New York sometime this November.
