M&Ms Dissolving in Slow Motion Is Beautifully Mesmerizing

An artful experiment.

Playing with your food is usually frowned upon, but when it’s for the sake of art and science, then you’ll usually get the thumbs up. The folks at Beauty of Science recently answered the question as to what happens when you dissolve M&Ms in water then film the process at 4k using a Sony A7R M2. And to up the curiosity,  what would that video actually look like in slow motion time-lapse? Well the result is truly beautiful, as evident in the video above. We see a kaleidoscope of colors spreading throughout the petri dishes the candies are kept in. The occurrence is quite magical and hypnotic.
