Yayoi Kusama Set to Brighten Up Washington's Hirshhorn Museum in 2017
The prized pumpkins are set to tour the U.S. next year.

With revered Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama set to bring her polka-dot pumpkins to the U.S. early in the New York, Washington’s Hirshhorn Museum has teased the launch of the exhibition with the arrival of a typically vibrant sculpture. The appearance of Kusama’s eight-foot pumpkin at the museum comes just before her Infinity Mirrors exhibition opens its doors in February for a three-month stint before touring other North American cities including Seattle, Toronto and Cleveland. Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors will be on view at the Smithsonian Institution’s Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, February 23 to May 14, 2017.
