Breathtaking Images From Arcaid's Architecture Photographer of the Year 2016 Shortlist

Set against stunning locations from all across the globe.

Stock photography stalwart Arcaid Images just announced the 20 images shortlisted for this year’s Architectural Photography Awards. A plethora of expert architectural photographers from across the globe have submitted their images for the renowned contest that spans categories such as Interiors, Exteriors, Buildings in Use and Sense of Place. For Buildings in Use, New York-based photographer Laurian Ghinitoiu snapped a captivating photo depicting Sou Fujimoto’s Forest installation at this year’s Milan Design Week. Moreover, the Exteriors category spotlighted Belgium-bred professional photographer Julien Lanoo who captured a super clean image portraying Herzog & de Meuron’s Vitra Shaudepot in Weil am Rhein, Germany.

As per Dezeen, the judges chosen for this year’s competition include “executive editor Emily Booth of The Architectural Review, curator Amy Croft curator of Sto Werkstatt, Katy Harris who is head of communications at Foster + Partners, architect Kai-Uwe Bergmann of BIG and photographers Fernando Guerra and Ulrich Müller.” Take a look at select shortlisted images above and look out for an exhibit showcasing all winning photos at this year’s World Architecture Festival in Berlin this November 16th to the 18th. The overall winner will be revealed at a gala dinner following the show.
