Sometimes a foreign perspective lends beauty to a familiar place. For instance, London-based illustrator Patrick Vale has a running interest in New York City, having produced a large-scale illustration of the Big Apple taken from the Empire State Building. Here Vale returns with a new masterpiece, showcasing the city as it stands in the wake of the Freedom Tower’s completed presence. Vale created a time-lapse video of his work, which is viewable above, and the meticulously-worked product certainly underlines the marvel of NYC – a certain magic that is often lost in the day-to-day.
