Following news of a staggering auction price upwards of $650,000 USD for a truck trailer painted at the 1998 Glastonbury music festival by street artist Banksy and London-based artist Inkie, the backstory behind the creation of the extremely rare piece of art has surfaced on the web. The story begins with a recollection of the two street artists creating the sketch for the mural in a pub before heading to the festival. Representing one of the last freehand paintings by Banksy before his fame and notoriety for stencil-based artwork, the colossal 32-foot mural, entitled Silent Majority, features military-type characters raiding a beach with a sound system as adjacent graffiti letters complement the imagery.
