It is a fundamental human right that everyone should receive a proper education to better their lives. The 1in11 Campaign focuses on helping the 58 million kids worldwide, or 1 in every 11 children, who are not enrolled in school, and looks to leverage sports and school to help these children reach their maximum potential. The 1in11 Campaign is a cooperative initiative by UNICEF, FC Barcelona, and Reach out to Asia (ROTA). In a show of support, FC Barcelona will send its international superstar Lionel Messi to partner with artists Takashi Murakami and Damien Hirst to host a charity auction at Sotheby’s London on February 12th. The artists have provided portraits of Messi in their respective styles for the auction. For more information, including a list of other participating artists, take a look here.
