Since 1913, Schott has been outfitting bikers, the armed forces, actors, musicians and countless others in some of the finest leather jackets around. The Schott Perfecto, first produced by Schott founder Irvin Schott, has become an iconic piece and is still manufactured the same way, by hand, in the company’s original New York factory. To celebrate its success, Schott and Rin Tanaka have partnered up to produce Schott: 100 Years of an American Original, a book chronicling Schott’s place in popular culture and showcasing 130 of the rarest Perfecto jackets. Limited to just 6,000 examples worldwide, the book will be available at select outlets such as Schott’s online store and the brand’s pop-up shop at 107 Mercer Street in SoHo, NYC for £50 GBP (approximately $80 USD).
