Toronto-based photographers Peter Andrew, Simon Duffy and Derek Blais present Point Blank, the group’s ongoing series of handgun ‘portraits.’ The intimidating lethal nature of the weapons withstanding, Point Blank explores the aesthetic value carried by the minute yet highly visible flaws of their subjects. For now, the growing series includes a Glock, Rhino, Beretta, and both a .38 revolver and 9mm from Smith & Wesson. Despite the artistic goals behind the series, it’s no doubt bound to generate some controversy because of the subject matter alone. Let us know what you think.
