Presented by Swire Properties and assisted by Above Second Gallery, last weekend saw one of Hong Kong’s largest street art exhibition with international artists and local talents teaming up to redecorate the walls of a deducted office space in TaiKoo Shing. With the aim to alter the perspectives of artistic credibility in the realm of street art, Australian artists Rone, Meggs and Beastman were joined by Vhils of Portugal, Victor Ash of Denmark, and Cyrcle and Cannonball Press of USA. Employing a variety of artistic techniques and disciplines, the artists took over the mundane space with aplomb dexterity. The short above shows the three Australian artists find time to explore Hong Kong, paint and get festive despite of their tight schedules. We also get a glimpse at the launch party where plenty of drinking, dancing and impromptu bombing added to the exhilarating evening. Work in Progress runs from June 17 to July 7, be sure to pop round if you’re in town and head over to Swire’s webpage for more on the event.
