The ‘future’ seems a bit closer upon viewing Tokyo’s Yurikamome train zip through its route at instantaneous speeds. The experience was simulated by Japanese photographer darwinfish105 in his newest video, “Hyper Drive.” By taking extended exposure photos aboard the train, which is Tokyo’s first fully automated transit system, the photographer strung together his pictures to imagine of what travel might feel like inside of the cabin at light speed. The end result is a trippy experience that recalls childhood fantasies of being Han Solo, save all the laser guns and carbon freezing. Enjoy the video above.
