Skateboarding, as with other board activities, is a creative endeavor that attracts a variety of imaginative people. The same passionate focus that drives people to skate also manifests itself through the visual arts. As a part of the THIS IS (NOT) MUSIC festival in Marseille, the coordinators also brought together some of the biggest names in action sports to celebrate the art produced by such individuals. Entitled “The Last Wave,” attendance revealed the likes of Ed Templeton, Parra, ESPO and C.R. Stecyk, all of whom contributed original work to fill 2500 sq. meters of space. If in Marseille, be sure to visit the exhibit, which will be open until June 9.
