Ashrita Furman has the unique distinction of holding the most Guinness World Records with over 350 set since 1979. The New York native was born in 1954 and became fascinated with The Guinness Book of World Records as a young child. It was only when as an apprentice under Sri Chinmoy that he decided to honor his guru by breaking records, starting with 27,000 jumping jacks. What followed has been a lifetime pursuing all manner of records. Check out the short film above.
