It seems there hasn’t been a dull moment for KAWS this year, with the artist not only debuting two solo exhibitions last month, but also having worked with the prestigious Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) to introduce a new installation. The artist worked with museum director Harry Philbrick to participate in PAFA’s Sculpture Plinth Exhibition, which uses the museum’s physical space to present contemporary art in unexpected locations. From there, the relationship developed to host a fuller body of work, which finds a vast selection of KAWS’ paintings and installations inside PAFA.
