A most recent showing by UK-based Remi Rough opened its doors at Unit 44 in Newcastle. With a chosen title of “How To Use Colour & Manipulate People,” Rough has compiled a display of visually compelling mixed media pieces. While the selection is predominantly compiled of vivid color-blocked canvases, a mixture of hard and soft lines characterizes this abstract presentation, which includes notable graffiti influences. Also used as a medium for expression by the British artist were items ranging from skulls to an unfastened door.
