Shepard Fairey "The Print Show" @ Magda Danysz Gallery Recap

Considered as “the most influential street artist of our time” by the Institute of Contemporary

Considered as “the most influential street artist of our time” by the Institute of Contemporary Art of Boston, Shepard Fairey has always considered posters a valuable form of art. Relentlessly he has pasted posters all over the world, renewing his visual codes through the years, building up a real language. In a show where about 200 prints have been gathered over a period of 10 years, Magda Danysz Gallery puts his work on display. Mixing Soviet propaganda cause with heavy metal imagery, or psychedelic letterings makes it an incredible testimony of the rise of the graphic culture. The show is now open, running through June 18, 2011.
