Desperados has launched its latest campaign titled “The Beer with Latin Vibe” ushering in a new era for the brand.

Having recently announced the appointment of Latin GRAMMY award-winning OVY ON THE DRUMS as its artistic director — celebrating the highly influential Latin music scene — the news was accompanied by the release of the hit single “GUAO GUAO” by the Colombian artist and Venezuelan rapper MICRO TDH.

Breaking down the background of the collaboration, OVY ON THE DRUMS says, “I worked closely with my friend MICRO TDH to bring the perfect vibe and catchy lyrics to the track ‘GUAO GUAO’, which encompasses everything Desperados’ new campaign stands for. The track has such a great feeling — it’s got a timeless sound that globally transcends the Latin Vibe into all cultures all over the world.”

Commemorating the launch, Hypebeast tapped “your favorite muse and nail artist” Coca Michelle to create a set of The Vibe press-on nails inspired by the energy of the “GUAO GUAO” music video in the latest installment of How To.

Adorned in the brand’s signature colors with unique embellishments and her own charms, the revered artist also incorporated a meticulous Spotify embed code to direct wearers to the hit single and keep the vibe going. “When I listened to ‘GUAO GUAO’ I immediately thought bold colors,” she tells Hypebeast. “The attitude and vibe puts you in a good mood and makes you feel confident, so I wanted to capture that through the colors.”
