SCOPE Art Show returns to Miami Beach for its 23rd edition from December 3–8, 2024, showcasing over 85 international exhibitors from 15 countries. Known for its dynamic fusion of art, culture, technology, and wellness, this year’s theme, Interdependence, celebrates the collaborative spirit of creativity. Visitors can expect a diverse array of experiences, from monumental installations to engaging panels and exclusive events.

The New Contemporary, SCOPE’s signature platform for large-scale works, will feature new commissions by Yinka Ilori MBE and Lua Brice. Ilori’s “Lift Me Higher With Joy” invites interaction with community-focused seating risers, while Lua Brice’s “Folding Light” creates an immersive environment using sound and light. Also on the show floor, Dr. Esther Mahlangu’s 26-foot painting, “Ukuthula Makube Nawe (Peace Be With You),” delivers a timeless message of peace, while Hebru Brantley’s “Black Oddyssey” celebrates African American culture through carnival-inspired elements.

Hypeart will also make its debut at SCOPE. The presentation will explore the transformative power of spray paint in contemporary art, with artists pushing the medium beyond traditional street art into dynamic, boundary-pushing creations. Original artworks by KATSU, Stickymonger and UFO907 will be featured in the booth located in the show’s central lounge.

A new addition to this year’s fair, the Blue Floor Project, shines a spotlight on Caribbean artists through a collaboration with Nassau’s FUZE Art Fair. This curated section features compelling works by artists such as Deborah Jack, Marlon Griffith, and others, each offering unique perspectives on Caribbean culture, identity, and history. The Blue Floor Project serves as a powerful platform for the region’s contemporary voices, providing a space to celebrate the diversity and vibrancy of Caribbean art. In addition to the exhibition, this section introduces the SCOPE Art Show x The Current: Baha Mar Art Prize, a new initiative designed to support emerging talent from the Caribbean. The inaugural prize has been awarded to artist Wesley Clark, who is currently in residence at Baha Mar, where his work will continue to evolve

This year’s programming offers a rich array of panels that delve into key issues shaping the contemporary art landscape. Discussions will explore the role of artificial intelligence in artmaking, examining how emerging technologies are influencing creative processes and challenging traditional definitions of authorship. Another panel will focus on the evolution of Latinx art, highlighting its significant impact on the cultural and artistic landscape, while exploring the diverse voices and practices within the Latinx community. A third session will tackle the challenge of preserving artistic integrity in the digital age, addressing concerns around the commodification of art in the era of social media and mass digital consumption.

In addition to these thought-provoking panels, music and wellness will take center stage at the fair. Attendees can enjoy live performances by internationally acclaimed artists Black Coffee and Disclosure, bringing their signature sounds to the Miami Beach crowd. Wellness will also be a major focus, with daily yoga, meditation, and breathwork sessions hosted by wellness partner Alo. These sessions will offer a moment of relaxation and mindfulness amid the vibrant atmosphere of the fair, ensuring that visitors can recharge while engaging with the creative energy around them.

Attendees can also enjoy pop-ups from Panther Coffee, Bondi Sushi, and Bodega Taqueria, completing the immersive experience. Each week-long VIP pass to SCOPE includes a champagne pass, a guest pass, entry to the SCOPE Party, access to exclusive on-site programming, and a selection of SCOPE merchandise.
