Roham Shamekh to Debut 'Pharrell's Echoes' at Design Miami

Inspired by the boundless creativity of Pharrell Williams.

Dubai-based designer Roham Shamekh is set to debut his latest collection Pharrell’s Echoes at this year’s edition of Design Miami, running from December 4 through 8. The series of sculptural pieces reimagines the canonical theme of the last judgment with a modern twist, drawing inspiration from the genius of  Pharrell Williams.

As the title suggests, Pharrell’s Echoes looks to the artist’s multidisciplinary impact as a lens to explore ideas of judgment, redemption and humanism. With Pharrell as a muse and metaphor for artistic disruption, the collection embraces the spirit of today’s creative landscape where the boundaries between art, music and fashion have become increasingly blurred.

The collection features a set of white resin-cast chairs, their backrests embossed with the contours of a male torso, tapping into the tradition of classical sculpture. At the heart of the display, a bronze iteration finished in silver transforms the design into a striking centerpiece.

Through playful yet contemplative design, Shamekh conjures an air of renewal through an organic blend of the old and new. Pharrell’s Echoes bears witness to a collision of art, design and culture, inviting viewers to examine creativity’s transformative power and its enduring role in shaping collective narratives.

Head to Curio Booth C08 at the fair to catch a glimpse of this collection.
