Gabriel Moses' Debut Exhibition Opens Next Month in London

The photographer and filmmaker’s work, starring the likes of Pharrell and Clint, will be showcased at 180 Studios.

UK

Fresh from shooting Corteiz’s Clint for his own Dazed magazine cover, Gabriel Moses now announces that his debut exhibition will be taking place next month at 180 Studios, London.

Titled Regina, the body of work will feature photography and film, including approximately 50 images that will comprise never-before-seen shots and well-known examples from his involvement in the fashion, music, and sports industries. Notably, the self-taught photographer is likely to spotlight some of his greatest achievements, from working with Virgil Abloh and Supreme to having items featured in The New York Times, The Face and i-D.

Moses’ work is distinct and identifiable. His influences include the communities and cultures that shaped him, being from South London and of Nigerian heritage, and the images that were captured and told their stories in black-and-white. As such, his production is rich in contrast and deeply saturated, often exploring plain backgrounds to draw the focus on his subject.

The result is something that pulls you in with desire and intrigue, and is ultimately emotional, as if you can feel the relationship Moses builds with everyone he photographs. All this, and more, will be seen in full at Regina.

Gabriel Moses’ Regina will show at 180 Studios from April 5 to April 30, 2023. Find out more online.
