Presenting his fashion campaigns and personal work, alongside videos and installations.

Juergen Teller will be showing his most expansive collection of work to date at an upcoming exhibition in Paris entitled i need to live. Organized by the French cultural organization Réunion des Musées Nationaux and put on with the support of Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello, the show will grace the Grand Palais Éphémère in the Champ de Mars before being shown at the Triennale Milano in 2024.

i need to live was curated by Thomas Weski and will bring together both personal and commissioned work by the German photographer. Alongside selects from campaigns he’s shot for brands such as Saint Laurent, Marc Jacobs, Vivienne Westwood and Loewe, i need to live will present never-before-seen photographs, videos and installation art.

Holding a lens up to the events and people that have shaped Teller’s identity, the Grand Palais says the exhibition “invites the visitor to discover the straight-forward, realist style Teller uses to respond to notable moments in his life and celebrates the value of human existence.”

The exhibition space of the Grand Palais was adapted for the show by 6a architects. i need to live will be open on December 16 and will be shown until January 9.
