International Artists Are Raising Funds to Protect the Amazon Rainforest

Organized by the Rainforest Foundation and UNITY.

Nearly fifty artists from across the globe are working together to raise funds to protect the Amazon rainforest and its surrounding indigenous communities. Co-organized by the nonprofit organization Rainforest Foundation and UNITY, the charitable initiative encourages supporters to purchase original works of art such as posters and prints with all proceeds to directly benefit the Rainforest Foundation that works on the ground to secure land rights for indigenous people alongside spearheading programs to protect the natural regions of Central and South America.

“We strengthen indigenous land security and train indigenous communities to use technology to protect their forests. By investing directly in indigenous communities, we connect people who are deeply motivated to conserve their ancestral lands with the tools, training and resources necessary,” expressed the Rainforest Foundation in a statement.

Wolfgang Tillmans, Tacita Dean, and Rineke Dijkstra are among the leading artists participating in the project. Posters are priced at $50 USD and prints at $125 USD. Those interested in purchasing a piece to support the Rainforest Foundation can head to UNITY’s official website for the project.
