Meguru Yamaguchi Shows off New Spray-Painting Technique For "Shadow Pieces"

A forthcoming solo show to take place at GR Gallery in NYC.

Meguru Yamaguchi continues to elevate his abstract compositions for his upcoming solo exhibition at GR Gallery in New York City. Entitled “SHADOW PIECES,” the presentation will display a total of 15 original works executed with the Brooklyn-based artist’s trademark wood cut-out technique. However, Yamaguchi introduces a new method across the latest pieces that involve spray-painting vivid color gradients directly on the sculptural bases.

Accompanying “Shadow Pieces” is a selection of recent works by the artist’s father Katsuzo Yamaguchi which will be on display in the second room of the gallery. The exhibition will run through June 12 until July 12. Visit GR Gallery’s website for more details and check out the new spray-painting technique in the video below.
