KAWS to Unveil Bold Paintings & Sculptures at Upcoming "ALONE AGAIN" Exhibition

To take place at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit.

KAWS is the subject of an upcoming solo exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD) made in collaboration with the Library Street Collective. Entitled “KAWS: ALONE AGAIN,” the presentation will feature three paintings, a site-specific wall piece, and five sculptures. The Brooklyn-based artist’s masterful, abstract compositions with subjects evoking pop culture ephemera will be observed across the works.

“Riffing on specific genres of pop art, figuration, deconstruction, collage, and fashion, the exhibition represents an underlying irreverence and affection for our turbulent times, as well as KAWS’ agility as an artist to appropriate and transform,” said MOCAD in a statement.

Stay tuned for more details and head over to MOCAD’s website to learn more. The exhibition will run from May 10 until August 4.
