Artist John Bock Questions Death with Surreal Installations at Fondazione Prada

As part of a new show called “The Next Quasi-Complex.”

Renowned for his experimental environments and works made of found objects, German artist John Bock launched a new exhibition at Fondazione Prada in Milan, Italy.

Entitled “The Next Quasi-Complex,” Bock created a series of surreal installations and sculptural objects that question the concept of death. Highlights include the Lutte Mit Rucola installation that features a serial killer’s living room inspired by the artist’s film of the same, the When I’m Looking Into the Goat Cheese Baiser installation that is comprised of a mobile structure wrapped with everyday materials such as electronic devices and mismatched furnishings as well as a tent that is festooned with stuffed socks and “dead” equipment.

“The Next Quasi-Complex” is on view until September 24. Head over to Fondazione Prada’s official website to learn more. In other art news, Sotheby’s is slated to auction the late Robin Williams’ personal artworks and collectibles.
