KAWS Joins George Condo, Cindy Sherman and More for Group Exhibition

Part of Skarstedt Gallery New York’s summer showcases.

Following the debut of KAWS‘s gigantic ‘Companion’ sculpture in South Korea, the artist has joined Skarstedt Gallery for a group showcase, as part of Skarstedt’s Summer Group Exhibition. The event also includes artwork from the likes of George Condo, Cindy Sherman and David Salle. Hosted in New York’s Upper East Side, the exhibit follows a recent Condo-centric event and highlights pieces from some of the larger names represented by the gallery. Accompanying Cindy Sherman’s ‘Untitled #203’ and Sue William’s ‘Dallas,’ KAWS contributed a circular painting boasting his signature “X” graphic and cartoon-influenced bright hues.

Head to Skarstedt’s website for more information, and stay tuned for a solo KAWS exhibition in November. Most recently, KAWS took over Korea’s Seokchan lake with his enormous ‘KAWS:HOLIDAY’ sculpture.
