Takashi Murakami Celebrates Texas Exhibit With New 'Flower' Cushions

Three vibrant colorways in different sizes.

Takashi Murakami is set to debut his ongoing “The Octopus Eats Its Own Leg” exhibition at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth in Texas. Following a residence in Chicago and Vancouver, the major retrospective will spotlight fifty works spanning large-scale paintings, sculptures and installations that touch upon Japanese folklore, globalization and media culture. Accompanying the extensive presentation is the unveiling of three new Flower cushions. The most-popular collectible is now adorned in “Blue/Black,” “Blue/Purple/Navy” and “Pink Ivory/Brown” options. Conclusively, each iteration boasts varying sizing in 30 centimeters, 60 centimeters, one meter and two meters.

View the “Pink/Ivory/Brown” colorway below and expect an official in-store release starting June 7 at the official Modern Shop. The exhibition will commence on June 10 until September 16. Stay tuned for updates.
