Watch Michael Lau's Mini Documentary: "FROM STREET TO ART"

One of the real OGs in vinyl collectibles.

Michael Lau and his signature Gardener series has made him a household name in the world of collectible vinyl toys. And, in this mini-documentary, the early beginnings of the Hong Kong artist are brought to light, including his original stomping grounds in the Wan Chai district, where he and his colleague would shop and source for toys.

With commentary from Prodip Leung, Jan Lamb, Wing Shya, Lev Levarek, Sarah Andelman, Godfrey Kwan, and Hardy Blechman, we are taken back some 19 years from the inception of Lau as an artist to current times, as he holds his momentous ”COLLECT THEM ALL!” exhibition with Christie’s auction house.
